09:00 — 10:00     Language in the Real World, Susan Spradlin (El Dorado HS)

Using the target language to communicate in real life type activities, such as planning international travel, using

authentic internet sources to purchase tickets, make reservations, find sites to visit, etc.  In addition, using fairy

                            Chris Becnel (El Dorado HS)

Teaching is fun! Through interactive stories, the students get involved with their learning and begin acquiring language from day one. Translation, gestures, and questioning help establish meaning and create truly unique stories.   The fun stories make learning-and teaching-enjoyable for everyone.

Today’s students are a generation of a fast-changing environment full of stimuli.  Teachers can take advantage

of their hands-on, face-paced world by creating classroom activities that are not only interesting to these students,

but that engage them in the way that they learn the best.
